Veraz Virtu is a multimedia softclient that enables service providers to decrease customer churn and further increase average revenue per user. It is used to deliver high quality voice; a rich set of multimedia user services and access enhanced network services such as presence, unified messaging, prepaid calling card, etc. Veraz Virtu is offered with a choice of skins; it can be customized and branded to meet service providers’ different needs.
Virtu can access various ControlSwitch User Services Core (CS-USC) service bundles: Basic, Enhanced and Enhanced Business. Additionally, Premium Virtu services are offered individually. More details on services that are offered are as follows:

Veraz Virtu operates in conjunction with the Veraz IMS infrastructure system for seamless interoperability between the end user equipment and the network-based service delivery platform (SDP) thus, accelerating deployment speed. Virtu supports SIP instant messaging and presence (IMP), RFC 2779 standard. It uses extensible messaging and presence protocol (XMPP) which is an open, XML-based protocol for near-real-time, extensible instant messaging and presence information.
Veraz IMS infrastructure provides capacity for the deployment of millions of customers. Virtu’s user information is maintained in the HSS. Tariff and balance notifications are made to the user through Virtu and announcement servers. Virtu connection is possible via broadband (DSL, 802.11a/b/g, WiMax, Ethernet, E1/T1) or dial-up. It supports leading desktops, laptops and mobile devices as well as several operating systems such as MS Windows, Windows Mobile, Mac OS X and others. Virtu is compatible with WLAN-PDA, USB phones and USB headsets. Also, the Premium features are available to support SMS.
Virtu can be integrated with applications such as ActiveX web dialer for web click-to-calls, IMP integration (SIMPLE), neighborhood discovery, Outlook, Outlook Express, major USB handsets and headsets support (including Bluetooth), PDA key mapping, subscriber and device management.
The Device Manager (DM), a CS-USC component, provides automated configuration management for Virtu including device configuration, storage of device specific configuration files, software updates, and integration of user equipment with value added services from the CS-USC SDP. This simplifies large scale softclient deployment, reduces integration cost and ensures overall solution scalability. DM scales to millions of devices and can be utilized for third party vendor devices support.
