Account Codes application from Veraz enables service providers to empower their enterprise subscribers to achieve greater business management efficiency and increased profits. This application allows enterprises to control, set privileges, track, sort, record costs per call and total long distance calls on a per client and/or employee basis. For instance, business professionals such as lawyers, consultants, contractors, etc. can track toll charges by client or by employee by associating a code to each of their customer or account. Therefore, time based charges and the cost of long distance calls can be charged directly to each specific contract by using a unique assigned code.
Account codes are easily provisioned in the Veraz ControlSwitch and are configured by business hierarchy. It accommodates as many business units as required. Veraz provides three types of account codes:
Non-Authorized: The user dials an account code, then the desired phone number. The account code is logged in the Call Detail Record (CDR) and the call is processed.
Authorized: It utilizes similar process as the Non-Authorized except that the account code dialed is verified for validity.
Conditional Authorized: This option utilizes similar process to the previous ones except that it requires a Personal Identification Number (PIN) which is validated against an account code policy.
The Account Code is one of the Enhanced Long Distance Service applications enabled by the Veraz programmable service delivery platform.
