The Veraz Messaging solution enables a variety of services from simple call answering and voice messaging to advanced, real-time, multimedia messaging. With the Veraz Messaging solution, subscribers can access, retrieve and manage all their messages from a single mailbox using a wireline or mobile phone, a PC, or mobile device.
The Veraz solution is based on the ControlSwitch™ softswitch platform, the I-Gate 4000 family of media gateways, and best-of-breed, feature-rich Messaging Servers and Media Servers from 3rd parties. The proven interoperability, based on open standards, between the ControlSwitch™ and specialized messaging servers enables Veraz to deliver a complete, pre-tested solution to service providers.
By leveraging advanced in-house DSP technology, the I-Gate 4000 series of media gateways deliver the highest quality voice over both TDM and IP networks, along with substantial bandwidth savings via compression. This allows service providers to deliver cost-effective voice messaging services, while ensuring the high quality of service demanded by their customers.
With support for multi-national signaling variants of SS7, TDM access trunking interfaces such as PRI & CAS, and seamless any-to-any interworking between TDM signaling and IP protocols such as H.323 & SIP, the ControlSwitch™ enables delivery of messaging services to the broadest possible set of end-users.
Being IP-based, the Veraz solution allows the Messaging service platform to be hosted at a central location on the IP network, while delivering services to multiple regions & countries. This results in significant cost-savings compared to traditional TDM solutions. The cost-effectiveness is further enhanced compared to "packet-switch-in-a-box" solutions by the fully distributed, modular architecture of the ControlSwitch™, which enables expansion to new regions with the addition of just the components required for that location. For instance, expansion to a new region may only require the addition of a media gateway and no additional investment in application or switching infrastructure.
