Dialogic® D/240JCT-1T1 and D/300JCT-1E1 Combined Media Boards

Field proven, high performance, media processing for T1/E1 networks; available in PCIe form factor

Dialogic D/240JCT-T1 and D/300JCT-1E1 combined media boards are ideal for developers seeking to provide cost-effective, scalable, high-density communications applications requiring digital network interfaces as well as multimedia resources such as voice and, in certain environments, software-based speech recognition or fax in a single personal computer (PC) slot. These boards offer a rich set of advanced features and support digital signal processing (DSP) technology, continuous speech processing (CSP), and industry-standard PCI Express bus and CT Bus technologies
Features and Benefits
24 or 30 independent voice channels in a single PCI H.100 slot Lower costs while creating larger high-density systems with fewer boards per chassis
Supports G.726 bit exact and GSM coders Lets developers implement unified messaging applications that meet VPIM standards
Silence-compressed recording Eliminates silence and preserves hard disk space
Unified call control access through Global Call interface
Provides worldwide application portability and shortens development time by using the same API for almost any network protocol
Models available with PCI Express edge-connector PCI Express form factor compatible with x1 slot ( x1 or higher compatible) also available
Supports DSP-based onboard fax and host-based speech recognition in certain environments (fax and host-based speech recognition are mutually exclusive) Maximizes the number of boards in the system

Data Sheet

  • Dialogic® JCT Media Boards can be used by developers to provide cost-effective, scalable, high-density communications applications. The applications include those requiring digital network interfaces as well as multimedia resources, such as voice and software-based speech recognition or fax in a single Personal Computer (PC) slot. These boards offer a rich set of advanced features and support Digital Signal Processor (DSP) technology, Continuous Speech Processing (CSP) technology, and industry-standard PCI or PCI Express bus and CT Bus technologies.

Application Notes

  • Dialogic® Continuous Speech Processing (CSP) is a feature available with select Dialogic® boards supporting high-performance, speech-enabled applications. CSP is also available with Dialogic® Host Media Processing (HMP) Software, enabling customers with board-based speech solutions to easily add VoIP to their product portfolio.
  • This application note describes Global Call and associated API usage and protocol configurations recommended for obtaining CPA results with Dialogic® products. A sample test application (sr6callp) is included for exercising CPA scenarios on HMP 2.0, Dialogic interface boards for HMP, and Dialogic boards with DM3 and Springware architectures.
  • This document provides architectural guidelines for migrating an existing application written for media boards with Dialogic® Springware Architecture to media products with Dialogic® DM3 architecture.
  • This application note discusses a way of using Dialogic® APIs in .NET applications that are written in managed high-level .NET programming languages, such as Visual Basic.NET or Visual C#.
  • This application note covers a broad range of topics on T1 telephony interfaces, including configuring Dialogic® boards for T1 and troubleshooting.
  • This document provides guidelines for migrating call control functions in existing applications using the Dialogic® NaturalAccessTM APIs for Dialogic® AG 2000 Series Media Boards and Dialogic® CX Series Station Interface Boards to similar functions in Dialogic® boards that use the Dialogic® R4 APIs.

  • This guide is designed to provide updated information in table format about currently available system releases and the operating systems they support. This information can help you choose the telecom board you need for a particular operating system configuration.
  • This application note describes methods for streaming audio between the host and voice resources on Dialogic® boards in low-density environments. It is intended for solution designers and application developers who need to use such streaming functions for speech technology integration, host-based voice processing, or customized voice streaming needs.
  • This application note provides detailed information about the classes and commands that make up the MRCP V2 client library. Dialogic developed this library to provide a starting point for integrating MRCP-based applications with Dialogic® products to create next-generation speech solutions.
  • Customers expect far more today than they did just a few years ago, and the level of customer service must meet their growing expectations. Call centers are increasingly becoming the major point of contact for customer interactions. To remain competitive and to keep customers happy and loyal, many companies are looking to converged voice and data communications solutions to turn their call centers into contact centers by harnessing the power of the Internet. Dialogic® JCT Media Boards and Dialogic® PBX Integration Boards provide technology to support the features and functions of today’s contact centers.
  • Voice mail, fax, and email have become indispensable in offices of every size. Because organizations rely on these media for message delivery, better management is a growing business need. Using a unified approach to message delivery and  storage is the most efficient way to manage these very different media. Although the forms of unified messaging (UM) solutions vary, they all rely on the convergence of  voice and data. Today’s Internet Protocol (IP) and speech technologies are expanding the potential of UM offerings and how employees manage their multiple-media messages.
  • Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems let businesses give their customers access to data, such as basic account information, order status, and travel arrangements, over the phone. IVR systems allow for highly efficient customer service and often serve as a front-end for live call center agents. Combining IVR systems with Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) technology lets customers interact verbally with the system, rather than use the phone keypad, providing enhanced convenience for hands-free and mobile access. Dialogic® JCT Media Boards and PBX Integration Boards provide technology to support the features and functions of today’s IVR solutions.
  • Voice mail, voice messaging, and the expansion into Text-To-Speech (TTS) and Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) have become indispensable business tools that let end users access and retrieve voice messages in the format most suitable to their needs. Dialogic® JCT Media Boards and Dialogic® PBX Integration Boards provide technology to support the features and functions of today’s voice mail/messaging solutions.
